2026 NFL Draft: Best Players Available (Day 2)

 

Rounds 2 & 3 are where rosters are made breakouts are found and GMs make their money. Before we look at BPA let’s see how I did, who’s left, and what lead to some of the misses. I had 9 of my top 32 still left on the board (For comparison Danny Kelly at The Ringer has 6 and Brugler at The Athletic has 7) so not too bad, but let’s take a look at the why’s.

 

McCoy has increased concerns about his knee injury, Rodriguez plays a non-premium position and I am admittedly very high compared to many, Bisontis was a fringe round 1 guy who I was higher than and fellow OL prospect Dunker was just one of my guys, Hood is  a good athlete in a relatively deep corner class, Ponds is undersized in a deep class, Scott is an older prospect (just shy of 25) who missed 3 games with a foot injury, and R Mason Thomas has injury concerns as three of his four seasons he missed multiple games.

 

On the flip side the players that were drafted well outside of the range I had them rated (outside of the top 64 for a solid arbitrary endpoint). The biggest reach was Price (RB) to the Seahawks who I had at 139, Miller (OT) to the Lions rated 90^th was expected to be in contention as a 1^st rounder but was a player I just couldn’t get there on, lastly Banks (INT) is a raw, toolsy prospect who missed last year with injury and broke his foot at the combine.
