2023 Fantasy Football - 3rd Rankings - Wide Receivers

Wide Receiver is deep, deep, but with a robust but separated elite tier. If you don’t get a truly elite guy I feel like you can still get very good talent relatively late and then you have a wide range of archetypes to choose from after.

For me this just makes the most sense, Adams is going to be leaned on again and even with decidedly average QB play he’s been fantastic in Vegas.

This trio is just slightly off the tippy-top. That’s their only flaw

Dropped Kupp and his reaggravated hamstring 3 spots and two tiers. Hopefully we look back and this is an overreaction. Otherwise, this group is within a couple spots from top to bottom.

I’ve dropped Pittman a couple spots and a tier from where I had him originally but Richardson being the starter is, in my opinion, the best-case scenario for his output. Jeudy/Sutton differences are due to ADP data not being quite caught up to the Jeudy injury news. And outside of that you have the Evans/Godwin swap which is more just about what you prefer.

Bateman/Collins/Moore/Hodgins are WR1s for their teams but have questions. I’m willing to take a risk in the WR4s to take a flyer on guys who could have lead roles in their respective passing games. Bateman has health questions but I think a higher ceiling than the other three. I’m relatively low on Kirk because I think outside of Ridley that offense is going to be spread around relatively evenly. The Elijah Moore hype and DPJ hate has gone too far, I have them flipped compared to ADP, and to be honest the only thing I really need to say is DPJ’s last two seasons (597 & 839 yards respectively) are better than anything that Moore has done in his two years (538 & 446) in the league. I like more but at this point he’s more lore than past production. Lastly, Mingo and Mims are rookies who should have immediate roles in their offenses. Mingo probably starts out as the nominal WR2 in Carolina, while Mims should be the WR2 while Jeudy is out and take over the Tim Patrick role when both Sutton and Jeudy are on the field.

Jayden Reed (57|71) – I think him and Doubs are going to have similar opportunities starting in the slot and opposite Watson on the outside respectively.

Van Jefferson (61|73) – The Rams number two and potentially number one early in the season.

Josh Palmer (68|83) – WR3 to start the year and the primary backup on a team where receivers miss a game or two each year.

Trey Palmer (69|122) – Him and Jarret balled out in camp and these WR6 spots should be high upside guys.

Josh Reynolds (74|101) – WR2/3 in Detroit, unlike Palmer this is a high floor/low ceiling guy.

Robert Woods (75|90) – Still the nominal WR2 in Houston. I’m probably never getting him but should eat up targets early.

Jameson Williams (77|54) – Missed most of last year with injury, suspended this year. Love the talent and certainly a stash but I can’t put any confidence in him higher.

Nick Westbrook-Ikhine (78|122) – WR3 who has flashed but isn’t consistent.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling (82|69) – Deep play threat but inconsistent as all hell, much better best ball asset than redraft.

Olamide Zaccheaus (86|122) – WR3 in a really good offense.

Odell Beckham Jr – (85|49) – I’m probably too low and like this signing more in real life but 49 is still way too rich for my blood.

Allen Lazard – (87|52) – WR35 last year when he was the focal point of the passing game, this is drafting him near his ceiling in my mind.

Rashid Shaheed – (94|72) – Thomas coming back hurts. Good late sleeper, but until we get more info about where this offense is going, I don’t want to touch anyone but Olave, Thomas, and Kamara.

Jalin Hyatt (96|68) – Legit game-breaking threat, and with a coach that has shown an ability to utilize players correctly, but I think he’s Gabe Davis with better speed, a smaller frame, and a worse QB.

Tank Dell (103|79) – I hope I’m wrong and ADP is right. He’s fun. He’s being drafted too high.
