Alright, so here’s
the plan, each week, Sunday night I will put out the Power Ranking’s Top 25
(i.e. this column), Mondays will be the Power Ranking’s prediction column and
Tuesday will be my prediction column. This schedule will keep me on schedule to
update the ranks, and account for later in the year when we have Tuesday games.
Without further ado here is my prediction systems top 25 power rated teams.

This is based on my
ratings, not on who most deserves it, not who’s played the best schedule. This
is as of now, what my system thinks are the best teams. Average this week was a
1.165 rating, the closest to that mark is NIU at .998. Lastly, I’ll address
some of the surprises, Oregon didn’t get hit much for a road loss at the 10th
place team. If I was doing my own ratings I would probably adjust each team a
touch more, but a three point game is a pretty even matchup. LSU took a nice
bump up with a road win over last week’s #25, while their opponent dropped just
outside. Boise State and Tennessee both dropped three spots based on their
losses to BYU and Oklahoma respectively, while Arkansas didn’t drop in the rankings,
but did drop 1.69 points in the system. Kentucky is the lone new team in the rankings,
bumping up after a dominant performance against South Carolina on the road this
weekend. To repeat what I said at the top of the paragraph, these aren’t where
I think they are now this is looking at home my system thinks they are overall
and how I think they’d matchup on a neutral field (i.e. Oregon would still be
just under a 7 point favorite over Michigan State.). This I will not apologize for.
