2022 Fantasy Football - 2nd Ranks - Quarterbacks

No huge changes in my QB ranks from the first set to this set. We’ll touch on a few players where I disagree with ADP. We got a week, or so, to go before we get to the main draft weekends but it’s time to get prepared.

I feel like we’re still slightly down on Mahomes this year after 4839, 37 TDs and 13 Int season.

No one is more than a half tier off here but I’m still higher on Prescott and Rodgers. Prescott is coming off 4400 and 37, he doesn’t call his number as often as he used to in the redzone but he’s very good. Rodgers lost Adams which is huge and they lean on him slightly less than they used to but he’ll still throw the ball 525 times, throw for 4000 yards and have at least 2 dozen TDs.

Biggest change here is I moved Lance up into this tier and dropped Fields into the next. The situations are just too opposite not to factor them in a b it more than I was earlier in the off-season.

I named this the Schrodinger tier because I think you could make a compelling case for two very different outcomes for each QB in this tier. We talked about Tannehill (the biggest difference) last time but the sheer amount we seem to be discounting a QB with 6 rushing TDs and QB1 finishes the last two seasons seems mildly ridiculous even if relatively understandable.

I think one of these players will help you win a championship but I genuinely think the most interesting thing here is that Tua is going as a high end QB2. I was, and am, a big Tua fan and think they’ve done quite well to surround with complimentary talent this year but I don’t understand where we’re seeing 4000+ yards, 30+ TD upside that would be required to get in that QB2 territory.

Players to keep an eye on, especially the rookies and, for better or worse, Lock.

Another deep season at the QB position. There’s an interesting mix of established vets, a good young corps, and a couple classes of guys with something to prove as the old guard is phased out.
