2019 College Football: Week 10 - Best Bets Review

We’ve been a run of good results going 7-2-1 over the past two weeks and we kept that going this week going 4-1 (4-0 on Saturday). Before we break down the picks let’s remind ourselves where we were heading into the week.

The Pertinent Information (Before)
Bankroll - $10,776.36
ROI – 18.94%
Record – 23-16-2 (58.54%)

Georgia Southern at Appalachian State (-15)
This one didn’t go our way and I for one am willing to blame the weather in Appalachia. A slog in the rain and cold left the option attack of Georgia Southern in a better place than App State. All that said Georgia Southern did a great job in this game outgaining App State by .628 yards per play and were more efficient scoring .4 points per play to App State’s .259. All this adds up to the #KrihaBadBet of the week.

Akron at Bowling Green (-6)
Rutgers at Illinois (-20)
Our #MorganSpecials both hit with Illinois stumbling out of the gate but ultimately doing the dead beating Rutgers 38-10. Both destroyed their opponent in points per play (BGSU - .422 to .105, ILL - .691 to .164) and yards per play (BGSU – 3.325 to 1.754, ILL – 5.891 to 4.443). The yards per play were probably depressed a bit because of garbage time at the end of the respective games.

Arkansas State (-2) at ULM
A solid win for Arkansas State as they went to Monroe and took it to the Warhawks. This one was pretty much what the score showed, Arkansas State outscored ULM by .09 points per play and outgained them by about a yard a play which helped secure the 48-41 win.

Virginia (+115) at North Carolina
Our one money line this week saw a back and forth game that was tied at the half. Virginia got outgained in this one 7.926 to 7.181 yards per play but was more efficient with their opportunities besting UNC on the scoreboard and in points per play (.528 to .456).

The Pertinent Information (After)
Bankroll - $11,064.09
ROI – 23.13%
Record – 27-17-2 (60.87%)

So another good week and unlike some of our weeks we didn’t need too much scoring luck to win our bets. Even our loss was pretty cut and dry and couldn’t be described as a bad beat. Let’s keep this rolling next week where we have a Tuesday through Saturday slate.
