Five Notable Things
The Eagles have done a masterful
job of putting together a roster under Howie Roseman. And the defense goes two-deep
along the front four with the starting four of Barnett, Jackson, Cox, and
Graham being among the best in the league. The linebackers could use a little
work at LB but if there’s a spot you can be weak it’s at LB. Malcolm Jenkins,
Darby and Sidney Jones are a good trio in the secondary and this defense should
be able to pin it’s ears back if the offense is clicking. Let’s lump Denver and
Chicago together (I can’t help myself) because the reason for the regression of
the Bears is the same as the reason for the uptick for the Broncos. That reason…
Vic Fangio. Fangio has improved every defense he’s coached, and the Broncos
were a good defense to begin with. The Bears won’t be bad, but the record of
defenses repeating their top dog status in fantasy is poor and the man pulling the
strings is gone. That Redskins defensive line is insanely talented and that
cures so many ills. 10 might be too high for Washington but their 21 in ADP is
selling them quite short. Lastly, I have the Rams 17 spots lower than ADP and I’m
troubled by that very little. As I wrote the next sentence I started to have doubts,
because they lost Suh and still don’t have edge rushers that scare you but
Aaron Donald and a secondary of Peterson, Weddle, Talib, and Robey-Coleman makes
me think I’m giving Wade too much of the short shrift.
