2021 Fantasy Football - 2nd Ranks - Quarterbacks

I’ve been working on these ranks for the better part of the week and outside of cuts and big news these are the base rankings I will be making subtle adjustments from. We start off with QBs but there will be PPR and standard ranks for each position plus a pair of big boards. I’ve included stats and fantasy points from my projections remember these are single point markers of what I think will happen, but they are guides for my ranks and not absolutes. The last three columns are ADP data from the 18th of August and for QBs it is the PPR data.

Top Five Differences

1)     Kirk Cousins | My Rank (28) | ADP (16) | Cousins is a consistent performer with a pair of WR that will perform but Minnesota throws the ball less than almost anyone and he doesn’t have the rushing upside to offset that loss of attempts.

2)     Deshaun Watson | My Rank (11) | ADP (21) | Watson has yet to hit the commissioner’s exempt list, there is still suspension risk, but at this point it’s not enough for me to move him more than a tier.

3)     Daniel Jones | My Rank (17) | ADP (27) | Jones is the opposite of Cousins, he pulls down and runs just enough that if he can be just a bit more consistent in the passing game he’ll be a steal in the QB2/QB3 range.

4)     Mac Jones | My Rank (23) | ADP (32) | This is just a rankings gamble that Jones takes over much earlier than we expected post-draft. Jones has impressed so far this preseason and there is definitely a drum beat from camp about his poise, leadership, and continued improvement.

Baker Mayfield | My Rank (27) | ADP (18) | Much like Cousins Mayfield is hurt by an offense that nearly has a 50/50 split between running and passing. He’s a better real life QB than he will be for fantasy.
