A great start to the round with Schwesinger being an athletic and instinctive OBLB. HOU getting some size to go with Collins in their wide receiver core, even if he wasn’t my top rated WR at the time. Emmanwori has some work to do to refine his game, but you can’t teach his physical tools. I thought Judkins was the better feature back out of Ohio State but I liked Sampson more and though this was a reach for CLE even if RB was a weak spot on the roster.

Taylor was the best blocker in the class and a smooth route runner and athlete if not overwhelmingly athletic. Collins was a solid but left me wanting more. There was some first round buzz on Ezeiruaku but ultimately, he ended up dropping to Dallas. Will Johnson has the potential to be the steel of the first two days as he has 1st round talent but injury concerns.

A real nice run of value late in the second, Ratledge impressed me at Georgia, big, strong, and physical. Bech isn’t a special athlete but he just continuously gets open and had great shuttles. Green has a pair of sexual assault accusations dating back to HS and college that were part of the reason he left Virginia that caused him to slide in the draft. On a purely talent basis he was a first rounder.

An extremely solid start to Round 3 saw the Giants add the long, athletic but slightly raw Alexander, KC add a big athlete for the edge of their defense, and the Raiders add high upside but raw Porter. The big two here are Fannin making the Cleveland offense more dangerous, and Williams raising the floor and ceiling of the NE offense.

The middle of the round are was relatively unassuming but a few picks excited me in both directions, mainly the propping up of interior players because it was a relatively weak class, and Jackson & Thomas being good value for the Bills and Jets. That said Winston and Revel, if healthy, are absolutely steals in this range for Dallas and Tennessee respectively. Houston got the other half of the Iowa State receiving corps, and the better half at that at 79, while Tampa & KC got better at corner with my 8th and 9th best corners in the draft. Lastly, I hope Savion Williams can reach his potential and find a role for the Packers but his role at TCU was a weird brew which doesn’t translate well to the NFL.

The last 14 picks of the 2nd day may be my favorite of the draft, with the exception  of Stewart, Smith, and Stout. Jacksonville, Baltimore, New England, and the Raiders (x2) got stronger on the offensive line with players inside my top dozen at worst in their respective positions. Seattle and Cleveland got my 2nd & 6th quarterbacks respectively, New Orleans and Atlanta locked in 2 of my top 6 safeties, Denver picked up one of the best big bodied 4-3 DEs, and Minnesota adds a big speedy receiver to help relieve pressure on Jefferson & Addison.
