We got a
bunch of movement this week outside of the top 10. Both UCF and North Texas too
big steps up with a further reduction of the influence of pre-season rankings, being
undefeated, and the inclusion of opponent adjusted points/yards per play data.
On the other end of the spectrum the trio of Miss State, BC, and Oklahoma State
took tumbles after getting pasted this week by Kenucky (a riser in its own right),
Purdue, and Texas Tech respectively. USC is almost out of the top 25 with another
3-point drop in the power rank despite a win over Wazzou. As far as those dropping
out of the top 25, A&M has dropped two games to top-3 teams, with the latest
being a 22-point drubbing at the hands of a never-ceasing tide. TCU dropped it’s
second straight, and Wazzou lost at USC on Thursday to round-out those who dropped
out this week.
