2018 Fantasy Football: 3rd (Penultimate) WR Ranks

WR is really deep at the top, but you start to hit question marks quicker than I expected. After you get through the WR2s you start to hit uncertainty.

5 I’m Higher On
Albert Wilson, WR, MIA40 Higher – Wilson mirrors my Amendola Rank. Wilson should be the 2nd option behind stills while Parker is hurt and when he doesn’t perform to expectations. I still see Parker as the WR 3 in Miami and that leaves Amendola as the WR 4.
Taywan Taylor, WR, TEN35 Higher – Taywan is a player I loved coming into the NFL Draft last season, and who’s talent I continue to believe in. With Rishard Matthews injured it looks like he’ll get a shot to be a YAC machine in Tennessee.
Trent Taylor, WR, SF30 Higher – Taylor saw 60 targets last season and although I don’t think he’s a dynamic receiving option he should be the slot receiver in an offense I want a piece of.
Tyler Boyd, WR, CIN29 Higher – Boyd is the WR 3 behind Green and Ross but will be on the field quite a bit in Cincinnati. This is all, he’s WR 65 and should be drafted as a WR6 instead of undrafted.
Michael Gallup, WR, DAL27 Higher – I’ll plant my flag and say that this is the WR1 in Dallas at the end of the season.

5 I’m Lower On
Pierre Garcon, WR, SF41 Lower – I’m either going to be extremely right or extremely wrong on Pierre Garcon. Or not. Garcon has been a tough rank for me. He’s is 74 years old (32) and yes, he’s played in a Shanahan offense before but that doesn’t mean this isn’t an entirely different set of circumstances. I personally prefer Taylor (obviously) and think Garcon won’t return to form from his neck injury.
Danny Amendola, WR, MIA27 Lower – See: Albert Wilson above.
Calvin Ridley, WR, ATL/D.J. Moore, WR, CAR25 Lower – I’ll combine these two, I love the talents and think they get looks in their rookie years, but their purely speculative options and I’ll take guys who I have a more solid grasp on their avenues of production.
Mike Williams, WR, LAC24 Lower – I may be completely wrong on Mike Williams this season, but I’m not sure why we think he’s going to replace Tyrell Williams and he’s going to have to compete with Travis Benjamin who finds ways to produce that would make the proletariat jealous.
