2018 Fantasy Football: 3rd (Penultimate) TE Ranks

At TE, either take Gronk/Kelce/Ertz too early or wait, take a Hooper or Watson late and stream if need be.

5 (8) Biggest Differences
Eric Ebron, TE, IND12 Lower – I get it Ebron is an impressive athlete and surely more talented than Doyle, but he has trouble consistently performing and I’m not touching him this year.
Nick Vannett, TE, SEA11 Higher – Vannett isn’t spectacular but there is a dearth of pass catchers in Seattle and unless Dickson suddenly gets healthy he’s the TE1.
Mike Gesicki, TE, MIA8 Lower – Gesicki is going to be the starter for Miami. Rookie tight end is a tricky transition. I’ll take post-hype Gesicki next year.
Austin Hooper, TE, ATL8 Higher – I will die on the Hooper hill. He improved from ’16 to ’17 and 550 and a handful of TDs is useful at TE in fantasy.
Cameron Brate, TE, TB6 Higher – Brate wasn’t as prolific in 2017 as he had been in 2016 but he was still right around 600 yards and a half dozen touchdowns and, repeat it with me, that’s useful at TE in fantasy.
Ryan Griffin, TE, HOU6 Higher – Someone has to start in Houston, it might not be Griffin but he’s #1 on the depth chart ahead of a 28-year-old rookie.
Blake Jarwin, TE, DAL6 Higher – Someone has to start in Dallas and Jarwin is one of the options.
